These concepts were then incorporated into various religious doctrines. Many of these non-biblical words such as incarnationomnipresenceand enfleshment are so common that the church no longer questions their origins; having full knowledge these words do not translate into any Hebrew or Greek word or concept contained within the Word of God, and some words are not even in the English dictionary enfleshment — Webster, Britannica, Cambridge, etc.

InPentecostalism broke into two major divisions over the Oneness Jesus only doctrine 1. Early History Monarchianism dates back as far as the first century by some accounts, but is not clearly seen in history until the second century. This doctrine teaches that God is one person, and opposes teaching relating to the Trinity.
Dynamic Monarchianism Dynamic Monarchianism is also called Adoptionism. This doctrine asserts that Jesus was born a man, and didn't preexist as God. Dynamic Monarchianism is similar to the Jehovah's Witness doctrine that Jesus was created by God, and is not divine.
Modal Monarchianism Modal Monarchianism is also called Sabellianism, named for Sabellius who became the leader of those who believed this doctrine in the 2nd century. It denies that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are three separate individuals. Oneness Pentecostal groups and "Jesus only" Evangelicals are modalists, composing the largest numbers of believers of this doctrine.
Unfortunately, through, this doctrine is spreading to other churches today. An outward sign of Oneness and "Jesus only" churches is they baptized in the name of Jesus, rather than in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. And, they believe they're praying to Jesus whenever they pray, no matter how they address their prayer. Here is a partial list of the better ones:.
Conclusion We only need one Scripture, that's rightly divided, to prove a doctrine is false. Such was the case when Jesus taught the error of the Sadducees' doctrine on the resurrection Matt. Isaiah reads, "Yea, truth faileth, and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey: and the LORD saw it, and it displeased him that there was no judgment. And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him". We all know that Jesus shed His blood on the cross to save us from our sins.
He told Peter the following, "And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it" Matthew John declares that God is a Spirit. The Spirit of God has no blood to shed. Jesus is God. Jesus is both God and Man. Salvation was accomplished entirely by God. This body was known as the Son of God. Much every way chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God" Romans God separated Abraham from his father who lived in Ur of the Chaldees to make a people for Himself.
His father as well as the nations of the earth worshiped false gods having lost the knowledge of the one, true and living God.
This separated people would be taught God's law and given the knowledge of the one, true God. The Jew was given the knowledge of one God whose name was Yahweh Jehovah and were to be a beacon of truth to all other nations.
And let us not forget, the first Christians were Jews and in order to have the truth concerning the one God, we must believe what they believed.
The apostle Paul provides a great witness to the oneness of God, and exactly what is meant by one God an absolute, undivided, solitary Being or a God existing in three separate persons, i. Paul, a former Pharisee, persecuted the Christians Acts because he knew there was only one God Jehovahand he believed the Christians were worshiping a false deity in Jesus.
But on the road to Damascus the truth was revealed to him: "And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven. And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?
And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks" Acts The voice from heaven that Paul heard spoke to him in Hebrew Acts Hebrew was a dead language at this time and the only Jews who knew it were the Pharisees.
It is simply ludicrous to believe that that Paul thought of his God as existing in three separate and distinct persons, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Paul followed Deuteronomy as do all Jews past and present, and he knew that God's name was Jehovah.
The Old Testament doesn't supply one scripture suggesting that Jehovah was three separate persons. If there were no New Testament, the doctrine of the trinity in all probability would not have come into being. I have spoken to reformed and orthodox Jews; they both agree that Jehovah is a single, whole, complete indivisible Being. The following Bible study was prepared to explain the plan of salvation in a simple, one-lesson condensed form with a teacher to guide discussion, or by self-study.

As our eyes become accustomed to the light, we can see more clearly and enjoy the scenery that surrounds us. We will be journeying into the scriptures by imagining we are back in the days of Jesus and the Apostles, listening to them teach and preach the plan of salvation.
Therefore, every effort has been made to present the pure Word of God without adding to, or taking away from its teachings DeuteronomyProverbs It is not our intention to diminish any personal relationship you may have with our Lord. We simply desire to share the truth as it is written. Only by claiming the Bible as our sole authority can any of us be confident of our salvation, for it is the Word of God and not the traditions of men that will judge us all in the end. Let us read 2 Timothy as we begin our journey into the Word of God….
Jesus Christ is the Living Word of God. He spoke further about this new birth on night to a ruler of the Jews…. Yet, this is not a contradiction. The next scripture explains how believing is related to experiencing the birth of the Spirit….
We find that scriptural belief is more than just a change in the way we think. It also results in a scriptural experience. Rather, we should believe and obey it…no matter what others say or do! Luke And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: Luke And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
Luke And ye are witnesses of these things. Luke And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high. Let us continue our journey into the Word of God by seeing what was preached and what happened at Jerusalem…. Peter replied by preaching the message Jesus commanded to be preached in Luke In light of this, consider the three elements of the Plan of Salvation Peter preached in verse But what does the Word say?
Acts …. Did they have great joy? If the Bible says this is true, then it is true. Acts Was Cornelius a religious man? Also, some people say it is not necessary to be baprized or re-baptized.
